This Privacy Policy outlines how WakaFlight collects, processes, stores, and safeguards information when you use our mobile applications, web portals, and telemetry services. By accessing or using WakaFlight, you agree to the telemetry compilation and data practices described herein.

Information We Collect

To facilitate pigeon registration, club administration, and race timing, we collect several categories of information:

• Account Information: Mobile numbers, login MPINs, name, email addresses, and associated club memberships.
• Loft Coordination Data: The precise latitude, longitude, and physical loft names of participating fanciers. Loft coordinates are required to compute accurate race distances and flight velocities.
• Financial Transactions & Top-up Proof: When you purchase credits to register birds or join events, we process transactions and collect proof of payment (such as uploaded payment receipt images) for top-up verification by administrators.
• Device & System Logs: IP addresses, device identifiers, login histories, and browser/system configurations.

Pigeon & Flight Telemetry

Because WakaFlight tracks biological flight paths, we compile detailed telemetry records related to registered racing pigeons:

• Bird Identity Profiles: QR ring codes, registration ring numbers, gender, color, strain details, and photos of individual birds.
• Real-time Telemetry: Precise tracking logs, velocity (computed as Meter Per Minute / MPM), altitude coordinates, wind vector adjustments, and clocking-in timestamps during club-sanctioned training flights and races.

How We Use Your Data

We process your data exclusively for operational, athletic validation, and ledger compliance purposes:

• Race Verification: Utilizing precise loft coordinates and arrival timestamps to calculate flight velocities (MPM) and validate race rankings.
• Cheat & Fraud Prevention: Cross-referencing telemetry paths and device login locations to detect clocking-in anomalies or registration manipulation.
• Ledger & Transaction Audits: Processing uploaded payment receipts to top up credit balances, which allows fanciers to spend credits on bird registration and race entries.
• Platform Optimization: Improving server efficiency, analyzing mobile sensor outputs, and refining wind vector calculations.

Data Sharing and Visibility

Due to the competitive and community-driven nature of pigeon racing, certain data points are visible within the platform ecosystem:

• Public Race Leaderboards: Bird speeds, ring IDs, flight times, and loft names are published on open dashboards for live spectator tracking.
• Club Administration: Verified club organizers have access to their members' directories, loft coordinate logs, registered bird lists, and transaction histories to verify compliance with race rules.
• No Commercial Ad Sharing: We do not sell or lease your personal information, loft coordinates, or telemetry logs to third-party advertising companies.

Security Standards

We implement comprehensive security measures to safeguard user and telemetry data:

• Data Hashing: Credentials, PINs (MPINs), and personal keys are salted and hashed cryptographically.
• Encrypted Transport: All data in transit between mobile apps, telemetry devices, and WakaFlight servers is protected using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
• Role-Based Access Controls: Granular permissions restricting sensitive loft and financial audit details to authorized club and super-administrators only.

Data Retention

WakaFlight retains personal data and telemetry records for as long as your account remains active or as required to preserve historical race registries. Historical race achievements and velocity rankings are retained indefinitely as part of the public sporting archive, unless requested otherwise.

Uploaded proof-of-payment receipt images are archived for standard financial reconciliation and compliance audit windows, after which they are securely purged.

Your Rights and Preferences

Fanciers and club members retain options regarding their shared telemetry profiles:

• Access and Updates: You may view and edit your profile details, loft names, and pigeon registries directly through the WakaFlight app settings.
• GPS Permissions: You can disable location tracking in your mobile operating system. Note that doing so will prevent you from tracking flights or clocking in arrivals via device GPS.
• Account Deactivation: You can request account deletion. Deleting your account will archive your loft location details, but historical public race rankings will remain under anonymous labels.
